Edit Audio File
In this tutorial you can follow the step by step procedure for editing audio files in Nero Wave Editor. You have the option to cut parts of an audio file, to fade in the loudness at the beginning or to fade it out at the end, and to regulate the frequency of file parts.
The following requirement has to be fulfilled:
- You have started Nero WaveEditor.
- Select File > Open from the menu.
- Select an audio file that you want to edit and click the Open button.
- To cut parts from an audio file, select the area that you want to erase and click the
icon. - To fade in the loudness of an audio file:
- Select the part of the audio file on which the loudness should be faded in.
- Click the Loudness > Fade in > desired fade in mode on the menu.
- To fade out the loudness of the audio file:
- Select the part of the audio file which should have the loudness faded out.
- Click the Loudness > Fade out > desired fade out mode on the menu.
- To normalize the frequencies of the audio file to a specific dB value:
- Select the part of the audio file where the frequencies should be normalized.
- Click Loudness > Normalize on the menu.
- Set the slider to the desired dB value.
- Click File > Save As on the menu.
- Enter a file name into the input field and click the Save button.
Audio formats supported
Please note that not all formats are supported for importing/exporting. Further details can be found in the Nero Wave Editor manual.
The audio file is imported.
The selected area of the audio file will be erased.
You have edited an audio file and saved it under a new file name.
