The problem is not caused by Nero directly.
Usually it is caused by a missing VCRedist module.

To solve the “atl100.dll is missing” problem on your system, it will be sufficient to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 manually. You can download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 from following link:

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8328

After the manual installation, the error message will not appear again.
Was this FAQ helpful to you? This FAQ helped me!This FAQ did not help me!
To solve the problem please proceed as follows:

http://www.nero.com/link.php?topic_id=209&gen_id=8

In some cases our servers could be down, or we may have an unusual amount of traffic on our website at the time you have attempted a download. In these instances, all you need to do is try again at a later time that same day. If it's over the weekend and the server is down, wait till the following Monday and we will have the problem resolved. We do provide up to 6 servers to download from. It's unlikely all 6 are down at the same time.
In most cases, the problem is not at our end of the connection. To resolve issues at your end, you should do the following:
- Disable any anti-virus program, Norton Protection or similar programs.
- If you are at work, you may need to approach your IT administrator, as you may have a firewall preventing such downloads.
- Contact your Internet Service Provider.
- Try downloading from another computer.
- Any kind of popup blocker could also cause problems. Please disable them while you download.

Your Nero software includes certain features that require the activation of a third party patent. The activation of these patents is easy and free of charge. If you choose to activate the patent at a later time, you can still use the respective features, but you will receive periodic reminders that activation needs to occur within 30 days of your initial use of the product. After this 30-day period you must activate the patent technology before you can continue using the corresponding features.

If your Nero version came with your burner or computer then you own an Essentials or OEM version.

The serial number is located on the back of the Nero CD paper sleeve or it enters itself during in the installation from the CD.

If you do not have this disk anymore or the program came pre-installed on the hardware, a reinstallation of Nero is only possible, if you saved the serial number yourself.

We do not have any record of the serial numbers of CD Aor OEM/Essentials versions, because of the individual packages. Unfortunately we are not able to provide you with a replacement serial number.

There is no automatic online registration by installing the product on your PC.

Additionaly we would like to inform you that you have purchased a limited Nero version that does not contain all features of the full retail version.
The CD/DVD recorder manufacturers or computer distributors (who bundle Nero with their products) decide which Nero applications will be included in the OEM/Essentials version. This decision is not made by Nero itself.

Since October 11th 2011, Nero offers new Nero 11 installer packages that include a fix for the error message mentioned below.

The installation of Nero 11 could fail with an “Adobe Flash 10.2 installer” error message during installation on Windows 7 64-Bit systems and Windows Vista 64-Bit systems.
This also could occur with any other product of the Nero 11 generation or the current updates for Nero 10.

On 4 October 2011 Adobe released a new version of the Adobe Flash Player (version 11).
For the first time the Adobe Flash Player is available as a 64-Bit version.
The Adobe Flash Player update to this new version 11 installs a 64-Bit version of the Flash Player on Windows 64-Bit systems.
A working version of the 32-Bit Adobe Flash Player is required to install Nero 11 associated programs (or Nero 10 updates) properly.

How does this affect the installation of Nero 11 (and Nero 10 updates)?

Users of Nero 10 can simply restart the update from Nero ControlCenter.

Users of Nero 11 have two options:

1. Nero provides new Nero 11 installer files which include a fix for the error mentioned above. Download one of these new Nero 11 installer packages and start the installation of Nero 11 again. All installer packs have been replaced, including Nero 11 Platinum, Nero 11, Nero Video 11, Nero Kwik Media Free version.
2. Download and install the 32-Bit version from Adobe at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
Restart the installation of Nero 11. (Any version of Nero 11 downloaded between Oct 4th and October 10th 2011)

Please also find detailed instructions with screenshots about how to resolve this problem in this posting on the Nero Forum.

Nero recommends a broadband connection (DSL-1000 and higher or Internet connection with equivalent performance) for downloading the Nero installation file.

Download problems can have several reasons.

We may have an unusual amount of traffic on our web site at the time you have attempted a download. This is often the case when a new update is available.

In some cases, the problem is not at our end of the connection. To resolve issues at your end, you should do the following:

1. If you have previously downloaded software via your online shop account, try to download a trial version from www.nero.com. Enter your serial number to turn the trial version into your personal full version.

2. Disable any anti-virus program during downloading from www.nero.com.

3. Make sure that your firewall does not block the download.
If you are at work, you may need to approach your IT administrator.

4. If you are using a Download Manager, please turn it off and start the download directly. While downloading from Nero, the download link does not directly refer to a file. Instead, a session is created which then refers to the download. This is necessary to ensure evenly distributed downloads on our servers. Download Manager have sometimes problems in handling these created sessions.

5. Try downloading from another computer.

6. Popup blocker could also cause problems. Disable any popup blocker programs before downloading.

7. Contact your Internet Service Provider.

If you do not have a broadband connection, you can order your Nero Update DVD from our online shop:

Nero 11 product line:
http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads-nero11-update.php

Nero 11 Platinum product line:

Nero 10 product line:

Nero 10 HD product line:
http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads-nero10-hd-update.php

Previous Nero versions:
http://www.nero.com/eng/support-olderproducts.html

The Nero Update DVD contains the most recent installation file which can be turned into a full version by entering your personal serial number. Installing a previous version is not needed.

If you have a broadband connection and the download was not successful despite the steps mentioned above, please contact our Customer Service:

In order to analyze your problem properly, we require some additional information.

To get the installation log files, it will be necessary to manually collect them after the installation process. Start the Nero installation again.
The installation process will be logged and saved into a MSI log file. After the installation of Nero failed, open your Windows Explorer and enter in
the address field %temp%. In the temp directory should be a MSIx.log (x for installationnumber) file. Please send us this log file that we can analyze the failed installation process.

Please also create a logfile with the help of the Getsupportfile. Use the following steps:

http://www.nero.com/link.php?topic_id=209&gen_id=8

Extract the zipped file on your hard drive using WinZip or WinRAR. Start the tool by double-clicking the EXE-file. The “C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe” window opens. The tool may take several minutes. You can track the single steps in the displayed window.

After the tool has successfully run you will find a file named “NeroSupport.cab” on your desktop. Please send us both file as an e-mail attachment.
