Nero AG, a leading provider of state-of-the-art software solutions for the global digital media market, is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to work out of our Glendale, CA, office.
In a role reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager (PMM) will effectively be responsible for all product positioning, collateral and strategic development for Nero’s line of products. The PMM will measure, analyze, position, and promote our product line. The role requires excellent marketing execution and business analysis skills with a proven track record of effectively promoting products. This individual will work closely with Product Managers to create product positioning, launch new products, conduct market studies and help steer effective marketing programs and materials. Our ideal candidate will have strong communication and project coordination skills with an ability to work effectively with Marcom, Development, Sales and Business Development to lead and execute on a wide variety of product marketing initiatives.
This position scales from strategy planning (defining product marketing strategy) to tactical execution (creating and ensuring collateral is updated, and developing & following product launch project plans).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish quick credibility and confidence with Product Management to ensure a steady flow of information and ideas
- Act as the central point of contact between Product Management and Corporate Marketing
- Drive the creation and update of Nero product collateral, including launch materials, presentations, datasheets, whitepapers, release notes, etc.
- Bridge market needs and requirements to the technical feature set of Nero’s products using market research, analysis, questionnaires, etc. as required
- Develop marketing plans for new product launches and ensure tactical execution of these plans
- Be the owner of all product collateral, and work closely with the Corporate Marketing Services Manager to disseminate this information to regional marketing teams
- Approve content (messaging, technical accuracy) on relevant marketing communications materials, and work closely with the Marketing Communications Manager and regional marketing teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in localized collateral
Qualifications:
- Experience with consumer software B2C marketing is a definite asset
- 4-year degree required, preferably in marketing or business-related field; MBA preferred
- Must have over 3 years of product marketing and management experience
- Must have solid leadership and communication skills, and be a global thinker
- Experience in technology-based company or environment a definite plus
- Outstanding organizational and planning skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with sales, marketing, professional services, external constituents and business partners
- Results-oriented self-starter with outstanding cross-group collaboration skills
- Proven ability to multi-task
- Ability and willingness to travel
International travel required; individual will need a valid passport.
