DVD-Menu - Customize Text Buttons

In this tutorial you can follow the step by step procedure for selecting Nero Vision text buttons and/or titles in a main menu to customize the layout and the text.

The number of Smart3D and Animated 2D templates is limited in Nero Vision Essentials and Nero Vision Essentials SE. Advanced Editing is not available in Nero Vision Essentials SE.

The following requirements have to be fulfilled:

• You have started Nero Vision.

• You have opened a menu for editing in the Edit Menu screen.

• The Customize tab is open.
  
  

1. In the menu view, select the menu you want to edit(e.g. the main menu).
2. Select the first title's text button in the compilation area.



The highlighted area is marked with a red frame and/or handles.
On the Customize tab, additional drop-down menus can be displayed or hidden. Clicking the title bar of a drop-down menu displays all areas.

3. In the Properties drop-down menu, go to the Display area and select the desired entries for Text Numbering and Format.



The changes are displayed in the preview and compilation area.

4. Select the text buttons of the other titles in the compilation area one after the other and repeat the previous step.

5. To select the text, double-click the text button of the first title in the compilation area .



You have three options to set the focus when editing a text box or a thumbnail button. If the focus lies on the entire surface, it can be moved or adjusted proportionally in size. If the focus for thumbnail buttons lies on the text element of the button, the length of the text box can be adjusted and moved within the button. If the focus lies on the text in the text element, the input can be edited. The highlighted area is marked with a red frame and/or handles.

6. Enter a desired title in the highlighted text box.



The changes are displayed in the preview and compilation area.

7. Double-click the text buttons of the other titles in the compilation area one after the other and repeat the previous step.

8. If a title exceeds the length of the text box and the result is an unwanted line break:
1. Select the text button in the compilation area.
2. Click the handles, keep the left mouse button clicked, and adjust the length of the text button.
The changes are displayed in the preview and compilation area.

You have customized the text buttons in the main menu. Now you can further edit the menu or you can view the entire project in the preview area.
