Install Nero LiquidTV™ and TiVo® service

You need administrator rights to install Nero LiquidTV™ (applies to all operating
systems).

Step 1:

Nero LiquidTV™ Welcome

The Nero LiquidTV™ installation wizard walks you through the quick and uncomplicated installation.

Proceed as follows:

Close all Microsoft® Windows® programs and exit any anti-virus software that may be running.

Enter the Nero LiquidTV™ system disc into the CD/DVD drive

 The Nero LiquidTV™ Welcome screen is displayed.

If the program does not start automatically, go into Windows® Explorer to select the CD/DVD drive with the Nero LiquidTV™ disc. Double-click the NeroLiquidTVSetup.exe file in the root directory to manually start the installation wizard.

Click the Next button.
 The License Agreement screen is displayed.

Step 2:

License Agreement (EULA)

Please carefully read through the license agreement and click the appropriate check box if you agree to the terms of the license agreement. The installation will not be possible without this agreement.

Use the Next button.
 The Folder Selection screen is displayed.

Step 3:

Folder Selection

Click the Change Folder button.
In the displayed window, select the folder where Nero LiquidTV™ should be installed.

Click the Next button.
 The Recordings screen is displayed.

Click the Change Folder button. In the displayed window, select the folder where the captured files should be stored.

Please note: the folder in which you want to store your captured files should be located in a separate partition or, even better, on a separate hard drive. The location must have at least 20 GB of free hard drive space available. That is equivalent to a recording capacity of up to ten hours (depending on the source). You will need up to four times as much hard drive space if you want to record a TV program in high definition quality.

Click the Next button.
The Other TV Applications screen is displayed.

Step 4:

Other TV Applications

The lower section of the screen lists the TV applications which are already installed on your computer and which may affect Nero LiquidTV™ functionality. Please do not use these TV functions at the same time as Nero LiquidTV™. 

Click the Next button.
 The File Associations screen is displayed.

Step 5:

File Associations

Select the check boxes for the video file types which are to be automatically opened
with Nero LiquidTV™.

Click the Next button.
 The Start Installation screen is displayed.

Step 7:

Installation Start

Click the Install button. 

Step 8:

Install Shield Wizard

 The Installation screen is displayed. A progress bar keeps you informed about the installation process. The Installation complete screen is displayed automatically after the installation process has ended. 

Step 9:

Installation finished

Click the Finish button. 

 You have now installed Nero LiquidTV™ successfully. The Guided Setup (Welcome) start screen is displayed.
You are now ready for Nero LiquidTV™!

Save this file to your desktop.
Double-click the downloaded installation file to start the installation.
