The installation of Nero 8 is interrupted because Nero 7 is still found on the computer.
This problem is caused by special Nero 7 registry entires which have not been removed during the deinstallation of Nero 7. Please use our new Nero 7 CleanTool for removing this entries. After that the installation of Nero 8 will proceed without any problems.

Why are the help files missing after I have downloaded Nero?

During installation from my disc I get the error message msxml3.dll was not found.
This problem only occurs when you are installing from your original Nero 8 installation disc and the XML-Parser 3 on your system is not up to date. The problem was fixed with our latest update of Nero 8.
Please download the latest Nero 8 version from our website and use this file for installing Nero 8 on your system:

During the installing Nero 8 the files DXBridge.dll and AudioEffectLibary.dll cannot be registered.
The problem is caused by insufficient access rights to a specific registry key on your computer. Please proceed as follows:

Log on as an administrator and choose Start Run type "regedit" and press enter
The Windows Registry Editor will open

Now search for the key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ NERO

Right click on this key and choose "Permissions". Check if the user account has full read and write access to this key.

The problem will no longer occur now and you can install Nero 8 again.

Is it possible to use the Template Packs from Nero 7 (Nero Vision 4) also with Nero 8 (Nero Vision 5)?
Unfortunately it's not possible to use the Template Packs from Nero 7 (Nero Vision 4) in Nero 8 (Nero Vision 5).
