Disconnect your internet connection and disable your antivirus software.
Press right mouse tab onto the .exe file you downloaded.

The problem is not caused by Nero directly.
Usually it is caused by a missing VCRedist module.

To solve the “atl100.dll is missing” problem on your system, it will be sufficient to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 manually. You can download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 from following link:

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8328

After the manual installation, the error message will not appear again.

To solve the problem please proceed as follows:

Please simultaneously hold down the “Windows” key and “R” key.

The window “Run” will open.

Now enter the following command into the input field:

services.msc

The window “Services” will open.

Right click the entry “Windows Firewall”.

A context menu will open.

Select the entry “Properties”

The window “Properties” will open.

Select “Automatic” in the drop down menu at “Startup type” and click the “Apply” button.

Confirm your settings by clicking “OK”.

Start the installation again.

If the problem persists or the Windows Firewall is already set to “Automatic”, we require some additional information.

At first, it will be necessary to activate MSI logging on your system to collect the installation log files.
This can be done with the tool “EnableAndDisableLogging.zip”.

Click the following link to download this file to your computer:
ftp://ftp6.nero.com/tools/EnableAndDisableLogging.zip
After downloading extract the file EnableAndDisableLogging.zip on your desktop using WinZip, WinRAR, or 7-zip (www.7-zip.org).
Open the extracted folder and execute the file “EnableLogging.exe”.
Start the Nero 10/Nero 11/Nero 12 installation again. The installation process will be logged and saved into the MSI log file.
After the logging has been activated and the installation of Nero 10/Nero 11/Nero 12 failed, please click the following link to download the “GetSupportFiles.zip” file to your hard drive:
http://www.nero.com/link.php?topic_id=209&gen_id=8
Extract the zipped file on your hard drive using WinZip or WinRAR. Start the tool by double-clicking the EXE-file.
The “C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe” window opens.
The tool may take several minutes.
You can track the single steps in the displayed window.

After the tool has successfully run you will find a file named “NeroSupport.cab” on your desktop.
Please send us this file as an e-mail attachment.

Additionally, we would like to point out some details of the “GetSupportFiles” tool.
The following information will be gathered:
- All available log files of different Nero applications.
- System information gathered by the Windows tool “MSInfo32″.
- Information on the installed DirectX version. For this, the Windows application “DXDiag” will be used.
- The “SchedLgU.txt” log file. This file contains information on currently scheduled tasks (e.g. the JobScheduler in Nero BackItUp).
- Extracts from the registry:
a. Information on the settings with which Nero applications run.
b. Information on how the CD/DVD drives have been installed.
Please note:
If the “GetSupportFiles” tool crashes then simply start it again.
When the tool is started again it will automatically recognize the particular program that caused the crash. As a result, that diagnostics program will be omitted.

Please send the gathered information by e-mail to techsupport@nero.com
