Product Marketing Manager

In a role reporting to the SVP, CE Business Line, the Product Marketing Manager will effectively be responsible for all product positioning, collateral and strategic development for Nero’s line of products. Working closely with Product Management, you will be responsible for the development of compelling, exciting messaging that highlights the benefits of newly included features for both consumer and OEM audiences, and keep this messaging updated on an ongoing basis. In addition, the Product Marketing Manager will own and manage the ongoing relationship between Corporate Marketing and Product Management.

This position scales from strategy planning (defining product marketing strategy) to tactical execution (creating and ensuring collateral is updated, and developing & following product launch project plans).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establish quick credibility and confidence with Product Management to ensure a steady flow of information and ideas
• Act as the central point of contact between Product Management and Corporate Marketing
• Drive the creation and update of Nero product collateral, including launch materials, presentations, datasheets, whitepapers, release notes, etc.
• Bridge market needs and requirements to the technical feature set of Nero’s products using market research, analysis, questionnaires, etc. as required
• Develop marketing plans for new product launches and ensure tactical execution of these plans
• Be the owner of all product collateral, and work closely with the Corporate Marketing Services Manager to disseminate this information to regional marketing teams
• Approve content (messaging, technical accuracy) on relevant marketing communications materials, and work closely with the Marketing Communications Manager and regional marketing teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in localized collateral

Your Profile:

• Experience with consumer software B2C marketing is a definite asset
• Sound technical background and strong business acumen skills
• Intimate knowledge of Nero’s current product lines and how they relate to market needs
• fluent English (both written and oral)
• Technically savvy with a general passion for technology - Ability to understand software features and functionality in order to communicate business value - Results-oriented self-starter with outstanding cross-group collaboration skills

Scope of duties:

You will work in an international development team in Karlsbad, Germany. Your responsibilities are the design and the implementation of our MSI based Nero product installation software for Microsoft Windows operating systems. This also includes the further development and maintenance of our Windows Installer XML (WIX) based automated software assembly line, interfacing to an external web-based ordering system.
