MD5-Checksum
With the generated fingerprint by MD5 programs (md5sum) you can easily control if a downloaded file is unchanged and complete.
Please download the NeroMD5Verifier.zip from our FTP-server, then choose a folder (or your desktop) to unzip the file. How to use the Nero MD5 verifier:
Step 1:
Copy the md5 check sum (with STRG + c ) from our download page. You can find this information beneath the description of every download package. Then click on paste and insert the original MD5 check sum. Download the software package and save it to a folder.
Step 2:
Browse for your file and click on it. The Nero MD5 Verifier will create and show the MD5 hash check sum. If both sums are identical the download was successful. If there is a difference between the two sums, either the download was not successful or the file is corrupted. If that is the case, download the file again.
If the sums differ again, please contact Nero technical support.
Roxio UDF-Reader Control Tool
When you install EasyCD Creator™, the Roxio™ UDF-Reader is installed as well. This driver could conflict with InCD 4 in that it prevents the user from getting full read-write access to InCD-formatted discs, as only a read access is granted.
This conflict can be prevented by disabling the Roxio™ UDF-Reader. This task has been made easy to achieve, thanks to this Roxio™ UDF-Reader Control tool.
Step 1:
Run the RoxioUDFReaderControl.exe file.
Step 2:
If the Roxio™ UDF-Reader has been detected on the user's system, it can either be enabled or disabled by accordingly by checking or unchecking the available checkbox, then clicking ´OK´.
Step 3:
Rebooting the system is necessary for the change to be taken into account. (You only need to reboot when a change has been made.)
Nero BurnRights Installer (Nero 6 and Nero 5 only)
Since Windows 2000 and Windows XP do not grant access to low level drivers for users without administrative rights it's not possible for them to burn CDs with Nero.
What is the purpose of Nero BurnRights?
Nero BurnRights allows users without administrative rights to burn CDs with Nero. The administrator is able to set up user accounts with exclusive "burn rights" for Nero.
How do I use Nero BurnRights?
Please download the installer file and double click the file to start the installation. Be sure that you are logged into the system as administrator. You will find a new entry in Start/Settings/Control Panel/Nero BurnRights. Double click it to start the application.
Note: If you select "Members of User Group Nero" you will be asked to agree the generation of a new user group "Nero". Every change of the Rights Level Settings requires a reboot (including the reset). Then you can add users to the group "Nero".
