Partner with Nero to implement Nero Digital™ technology

If you are an IC Manufacturer or ISV (programmable ICs), you can implement Nero Digital™ technology on any platform (ASIC, DSP, ASSP, SoC) to enable consumer electronics products. ISVs can also enable Nero Digital™ on programmable platforms such as Digital Signal Processors (DSPs).

The Nero Digital™ SDK allows for file playback of any online content independent of the file format.

Can I enable Nero Digital™ on my IC?

Depending on your profile, we will find the relevant technology or support to suit your needs.

If you are an IC developer, a software vendor for ICs or a reference design provider, we can:

License some source code (whole or parts) with SDKs
License object code
Connect you with a partner providing you with the most tailored solution

How to implement Nero Digital™

First, contact Nero at info@nerodigital.com. Have an NDA signed to allow an exchange of confidential information. In addition, you need to have an NDI (Nero Digital™ Implementation) agreement signed to license you the rights to enable Nero Digital™ on your chip.

Following the signature of the NDI agreement, you will receive the documentation and the licensed code if needed, allowing you to implement the Nero Digital™ technology.

With regards to audio and video algorithms, there might be a license fee to be paid -- corresponding to the IP.

Chips or platform solutions known as intermediate products have to be tracked on a quarterly report to be submitted to Ateme. You have to perform this quantity tracking even without royalties being paid.
