Nero LiquidTV™ | TiVo® PC FAQ

Nero LiquidTV™ | TiVo® PC requires a supported TV Tuner and TiVo PC remote with IR Blaster/Tranceiver for the full TiVo experience. More information is available under the Required Hardware section . For detailed list of system requirements, please click here .

Nero LiquidTV™ | TiVo® PC is intended for use only with a paid subscription to the TiVo service. Without the TiVo service, Nero LiquidTV™ | TiVo® PC has extremely limited functionality. Neither automatic-recording service functionality nor content discovery features should be expected. Receipt of TiVo service is subject to the terms of the TiVo Service Agreement. TiVo service is accessed through a standard telephone line or broadband connection and is available as a local call in most areas. In some areas, local and long-distance toll charges may apply.

Yes, you can view one channel and simultaneously record another by using multiple Tuner cards. Nero LiquidTV™ | TiVo® PC is able to support up to 4 Tuner cards at the same time (system performance allowing).

No, currently Nero LiquidTV™ | TiVo® PC has no video editing functionality to cut out advertising.

Yes, Nero LiquidTV™ | TiVo® PC enables users of these systems to enjoy the service and all the benefits of TiVo, along with the ability to view this content on devices like iPod®, PSP® and DVD Players.

Consumers who purchase the product will receive free software updates throughout the term of the subscription.

In the U.S., retailers including Best Buy, Fry’s Electronics, Circuit City, and Office Depot will carry the product. In Canada, retailers include Future Shop and Best Buy Canada. In Mexico, the product will only be available online as a downloadable serial number.

Nero LiquidTV™ | TiVo® PC will be available in the U.S., Canada and Mexico in October 2008. We will make announcements about availability in other countries in 2009.

The retail box will include everything you need to turn your regular PC (or laptop) into a TiVo PC, making an enhanced TV experience possible.

The Retail Box will include:

  • a TiVo PC remote
  • a TV tuner card (with A/V cable & portable antenna) to allow television signals to be received by the PC
  • an IR Blaster (Transceiver with emitter cable) to create an infrared connection between the cable or satellite box and the PC
  • Nero LiquidTV™ | TiVo® PC Software Installation Disc
  • 12-month subscription to TiVo service
  • Nero LiquidTV™ | TiVo® PC QuickStart Guide
  • Getting Started pamphlet

It also comes with a one-year subscription to the TiVo service. The product retails in the U.S. for $199.99USD and in Canada for $199.99 CAN.

The price for the ESD version (software only) in the U.S. will be $99.99USD, in Canada at $99.99CAN, and in Mexico at $99.99 USD.

The ESD version will include:

  • Nero LiquidTV™ | TiVo® PC software
  • 12-month subscription to TiVo service
  • Online access to Nero LiquidTV™ | TiVo® PC, QuickStart Guide, FAQs, eTutorials, as well as access to Flash demo
