Other ways to find your serial number

You can usually find your Nero serial number on the CD package of the box version or in the confirmation e-mail you received after purchasing a downloadable version in the Nero Online Shop.

Retrieve your serial number manually

  1. Click on "Start  Run" and type "REGEDIT" in the field "Open"
  2. Click on "OK" to open the Registration Editor.
  3. Open the file.
    For Nero 5 and Nero 6:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE 
     SOFTWARE

    For Nero 7:

  4. Your serial number will appear in the right-hand window of the Registration Editor in the line “Serial”.
  5. Please make a note of your serial number.
