Nero MediaHome 4 Essentials Receives DLNA Technology Component Status

Nero home media server software gives OEM partners guaranteed interoperability with full range of DLNA Certified Devices

Karlsbad, Germany (May 14, 2009) -- Nero, creators of liquid media technology, today announced that Nero MediaHome 4 Essentials has received Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) Technology Component status. Available to Nero OEM partners, Nero MediaHome Essentials is a critical component of the company’s "liquid" approach to content creation and distribution, allowing consumers to enjoy their digital media content hroughout their connected home network. Bundling of this Nero technology with DLNA Certified™ Devices ensures that consumers can easily and wirelessly stream all photos, audio and videos from the PC, across their network and to a full range of products from the world’s leading manufacturers.

Nero MediaHome takes home entertainment beyond the living room, allowing users to stream High Definition video content, photo collections, and music files to any UPnP™ compatible media player, such as the Xbox 360®; or DLNA Certified™ media player, including the PLAYSTATION® 3. The software helps to increase consumers’ digital media libraries, allowing them to listen to Web-based radio and podcasts. It also simplifies the organization of media libraries, allowing users to best tailor their TV channels,
